Why do you love where you live?

We invite you to share your vision of Anglesea's future - its community, its character, its experience. Why you live here and what you want Anglesea's future to be.

This is the first step in bringing residents together to create Our Anglesea: a vision, values and inspiration to progress priorities and bring local ideas to life.

While the project is initiated by Surf Coast Shire Council, local residents take the reins to create the community plan and then implement it over the next few years. It will certainly guide Council, but this is a whole-of community project for the whole Anglesea community.

We will be at the Anglesea Bowling Club, Wednesday 18 June from 4pm to 6pm. Please pop in for a cuppa during this time to find out more about the process and how you can be involved.

Working together

We want to bring residents together to:

  • explore what matters to people locally
  • identify common values
  • form a shared vision for your community.

With this as the basis, residents create a list of goals, priorities and actions that community members themselves can implement.

Anglesea Community Plan is the latest community plan to be developed. Council has previously supported Moriac and Winchelsea communities to develop three-year plans for their communities. Both have delivered exciting community-specific visions that are dramatically different.

Current status

This opening stage we invite people to the Anglesea Bowling Club, Wednesday 18 June any time from 4pm to 6pm. Please pop in for a cuppa to find out more about the process and how you can be involved. Or complete the short online survey below.

Input from this survey will set our working plan to facilitate input from everyone. Responses and conversations will also help bring together a group of locals to work as a team with a professional facilitator, including planning further engagement opportunities for fellow residents.
