  • If you have any specific accessibility enquiries, please get in touch with the business directly using their contact details provided.
  • If you would prefer a hard copy listing of these businesses, these are prepared annually by our Visitor Information Centres and can be collected in person.

    Add your local business to the map

    • Type your business address into the address bar
    • Click ‘add marker’ and drop it onto your business location
    • Fill in your business details and accessibility information
    • Your listing will be approved by Council and posted on the map within 14 days.

    What do the accessibility features mean?

    The business are shown these criteria to determine if they think they have certain accessible features, and they may write a comment about each one. Here's what each feature means (or might mean, in the case of the question about if they are able to make other adjustments). REMEMBER: All information is provided by local businesses and is not verified by Council.
    • Accessible entry

      • the doorway opening is at least 850mm
      • entry is step-free (with a max gradient of 1:14)
      • there is circulation space for a wheelchair user to turn around on either side of the door (510mm deep x 1460mm wide)
    • Accessible bathroom

      • The doorway opening is at least 850mm
      • The floor area is 2300mm x 1900mm
      • There are grab rails on either side of the toilet pan
      • The bathroom is clear and not used as a store cupboard or similar
    • Accessible pathway to bathroom

      • Pathway between furniture is at least 850mm wide
      • Pathway from the entrance to the bathroom is flat or has a ramp, no stairs or other barriers
      • Any doorways are at least 850mm wide
    • Accessible parking nearby

      • Ideally within 50m, maximum 100m travel distance to the accessible entrance
      • The path from the bay to the entrance must be continuous, safe, and accessible, meaning no steps, steep slopes, or obstacles.
    • Able to make adjustments

      This might include:

      • lowering music or lighting for people with sensory sensitivity
      • moving furniture so people with mobility needs can move around
      • Staff reading out menu options on request
      • Allowing extra time for customers to place their order.
