Anglesea Community and Health Hub co-design group develops draft concept plan

3 May 2024

Anglesea Community and Health Hub community co-design group members came together last night for their third workshop.

The focus of this session was to finalise the vision and principles as well as the draft concept plan for the hub, which the community will be invited to provide feedback on in the coming weeks.

Group members first reviewed the vision and principles developed in previous sessions. There was strong support for the vision and principles that helped set the scene for how the hub will look and feel.

The draft concept plan

Project architects then presented draft concept plans to the co-design group for feedback. The plans responded to the design intentions and ideas developed by participants at session 2.

Group members were then asked what they liked about the plans, what could be improved and how well it responded to the design principles. There was general support for the key elements and intentions of the plans and lots of discussion around the location of housing and the community garden.

The co-design group have identified a preferred plan which will be shared with the broader community for feedback.

Next steps

The draft plan will be released to the community for feedback during an engagement period to commence on Monday 13 May. This engagement process will include an online survey and drop in sessions. More information will be available at www.surfcoast.vic.gov.au/angleseaHUB.

The community co-design group will then meet in late June to review and consider community feedback before the draft concept plan is considered by Council at an upcoming Council meeting.
