A trial Parklet will be in place at the Beach Hotel, Jan Juc from Friday 19 January to Monday 8 April.

During this time the Beach Hotel has permission from Council to use four car parks as a Parklet for outdoor dining in addition to their usual outdoor areas.

Parklets are a placemaking initiative that use on-street parking zones adjacent to hospitality businesses. They transform curb-side parking spaces into vibrant community spaces, offering public seating and opportunities for street dining or green spaces.

During the pilot, Council is seeking feedback to evaluate the use of this Parklet and future Parklets across the Surf Coast.
