We’re at the tail end of our consultation on the draft Domestic Animal Management Plan (DAMP) 2026-2029.

Your feedback will help guide how we support responsible pet ownership and ensure public spaces are safe and enjoyable for everyone.

The draft plan lists 32 key actions that Ranger Services will focus on during the next four years.

The actions relate to:

1. Continuing to communicate with our community to promote responsible pet ownership

2. Adoption programs

3. Enforcement activities, undertaking regular patrols across the shire

4. Signage improvements, and working in partnership with other land managers to be more effective with education
